Can you believe it’s been a full month since I joined the Like a Voss, Inc. team as an intern? Time’s racing by, and, it’s been one heck of a ride. So, settle in with your favourite snack because I’m about to share the real, unfiltered story of my journey so far.
New Experiences
Let’s start from the very beginning, in case you missed my first blog. On my first day of this remote internship, picture me in comfy PJs, clutching a steaming coffee mug—a classic setup, right? But beneath that cozy exterior, let’s be honest, there was a whirlwind of nerves. Would I fit in? Could I handle the workload?
Then came the first Google Meet call, and poof! Nerves vanished. Seriously, the Like a Voss Inc. team is like one big, welcoming family. Our boss, Mandi, deserves applause. She’s not just patient; she’s a real boss. I’ve stumbled, made a ton of mistakes, but she’s been guiding me with constructive feedback through it all.
Managing the Hustle
But before we get into the deets, let me give you a quick intro about myself. You can find a more detailed version of my story here, but in a nutshell, my life is one big irony. I kicked off this internship while on a social media detox; I had been inactive on my own accounts for a while. Yet, here I am, crafting captions for different social media platforms at Like a Voss Inc. It’s funny how you can lead two parallel lives simultaneously, isn’t it?
Now, let’s talk about my experience. I’m four weeks into this internship, and I’m absolutely loving it. Sure, it comes with its challenges, but Mandi, our amazing boss, has been a pillar of support. No matter how many mistakes I make (and trust me, there have been quite a few), she’s always patient and offers constructive feedback that I can actually build upon. It’s a learning curve that’s worth every twist and turn.
Celebrating Success
Now, let’s talk about my daily work routine. First up, managing that content calendar. It’s been quite challenging, I must admit. But you know what? I’ve genuinely come to enjoy it. Each day brings a fresh puzzle to solve. Mandi’s feedback has been incredibly helpful in showing me the way to improvement. My dedication and effort are beginning to show results. Our content is now live across various social media platforms, and I have to say, it’s been an incredibly proud experience.
And it’s not just about pride; it’s also about the boost in my self-confidence. Witnessing the tangible results of my efforts has reaffirmed my belief in my abilities and has me looking forward to even more exciting opportunities ahead.

The Future
As this internship journey heads toward its conclusion, there’s a mix of emotions brewing. On one hand, I’m excited about what lies ahead, the thrill of job searching, and the world of possibilities. On the other hand, there’s a lot of anxiety, the harsh reality that’s creeping closer as the days go by, and the horrors of filling out workday forms.
I’ve already started networking, trying to build connections that could potentially open doors in the future. It’s a process that’s both nerve-wracking and exhilarating, and I’m ready to take it head-on.
