And just like that… my first month at Like A Voss is over!
While I am only here once a week, the experience of doing real-life work has been amazing. I have already learned so much, and am continuing to do and try things I typically would shy away from.
Some of the things that I have been working on since starting at Like A Voss are:
- Writing a Buying Followers Case Study
- Instagram Lives
- Writing a White Paper Lead Magnet
- Writing LinkedIn and Facebook Content
- Doing Instagram Engagement
One of the tasks that take up a large chunk of my day at LAV is Instagram engagement sessions. Before starting my placement, I never really thought about engaging with other accounts; I engaged with my followers, those I followed, and anyone who interacted with my content. However, in these engagement sessions, I have learned a lot about how engaging with people who do not yet follow you, but are interested in your niche, helps grow your account, build brand awareness, and build meaningful connections.
I was also intimidated by commenting on people’s posts for other accounts. Do I sound enough like they would? Is this something they would say? How do I make it meaningful? Am I doing this right? It has been six weeks of doing the engagement now, and I have four different accounts that I am working on. The newer accounts I am still learning and finding my groove. But, the account I first started engagement sessions on I have been receiving consistent interactions on, and am feeling more confident each session.
With time, I have gotten more comfortable with creating more meaningful comments on accounts that align with the identity of our clients. It’s so satisfying seeing accounts come in and engage and follow accounts I am working on after a comment from me on their post!
In other news, I posted a video of me talking on LAV’s Instagram account… and then that night went live with the team! To say I was nervous would be an understatement… however, I survived, I spoke a bit, and I am ready to try it again.
While I have already learned so much in my short time here, I cannot wait to see what Mandi has in store for me this upcoming month!
