So what are some things that you need to try on Instagram?
Create Mode
Create mode is a feature that was launched specifically for Instagram stories. It allows users to combine things such as stickers, text, drawings, polls, or any number of the other features on Instagram stories without needing a photo or video for the background.

Some features that create mode has are:
- Templates: Create mode provides a bunch of templates with interactive designs such as “Quote of the Day” and a perfect gif sharing format. It also has daily templates that you can see by tapping the dice button.
- On this day: This feature selects a photo from the past and allows you to share it directly to your story.
- Polls, questions, and quizzes: It’s just like the poll, question, and quiz stickers for regular stories, but this time you don’t need a background photo. You can use the colourful, funky designs that create mode gives you instead.
IGTV
“Designed for longer formats (up to an hour for verified accounts), Instagram TV was launched in 2018 as the platform’s answer to streaming content and creator channels like YouTube. Unlike Instagram Live, content could be filmed and edited in advance for a higher-quality experience.” – Hootsuite
IGTV allows users to monetize their video content as well. It’s like Instagram has its own version of YouTube, except now it’s all in one place. Your video content is directly associated with your Instagram, which makes it so much easier to gain followers from it.
Plus, making good video content on Instagram allows your followers to meet a different side of you. It allows them to feel more connected to you because looking at photos and reading captions, no matter how authentic they are, isn’t the same as watching and hearing someone talk.
Countdowns
Countdowns are another example of Instagram helping put everything in one place. No need to use other apps to run a countdown or rely on Facebook for event reminders for your fans, now you can do it all on Instagram!

Remember a few years ago when everyone was creating spam accounts on Instagram? Your close friends list is basically the new and improved version of that. Instead of having an entirely separate account to share photos and other content exclusively with your close friends, you can do that all from your main account. You just need to create a close friends list and then all the content you share to your private story will only be seen by them!
