Our CEO Mandi interviewed Jenelu about her secret to success in business and in life. We also got some awesome insights into what they think makes social media such an effective tool in business.
A Little Bit About Being an Entrepreneur
1: How long have you been in business?
I’ve been in business since the pandemic March 2020.
2: What made you decide to break away from the 9-5 and start The Secrets Of A Parentpreneur Exposed?
After My husband passed away, I wanted to be more present for my kids because I worked 12 hours a day in corporate. I knew it was impossible to remain at a job that would take time away from my children who desperately needed me. With that being said, I searched for a need in the entrepreneur world and saw that parents who are entrepreneurs needed more encouragement and needed more help with teaching their children about financial literacy to be able to handle the wealth that will be passed down in the future.
3: What do you love most about being an entrepreneur?
I’m able to assist others and let them know that they are not alone in this parent entrepreneur world.
4: What is the hardest thing you have had to overcome as an entrepreneur? Something you did not foresee when you decided to start The Secrets Of A Parentpreneur Exposed?
The hardest thing I had to overcome was seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. What I mean by this statement is that I wasn’t expecting to invest all of my life savings into the business before I started to see any returns. I was expecting to see my return as soon as I started. I had to come back to the drawing board to make sure I was doing the right things time after time and I still had to believe that things would get better and long and behold, IT DID!
5: What is one thing about working in the coaching space that people would be surprised to learn?
You will never know all the answers, you have to follow your instinct and learn as you go and persist confidently. At times, you will feel as if you dont belong and you will feel incompetent but you MUST keep going and learning.

6: Do you have a favorite social media platform? Why?
I love Instagram because you can make reels and create highlights that can creatively convert into sales. I also love this platform because I can meet new influencers everyday.
7: What made you decide to start using social media as a way to promote your company?
I watched several influencers and saw their results by promoting on social media and it reaches the masses.
8: How has social media impacted your business? Would you say that it’s an effective marketing tool?
It has impacted my business in so many ways because it let’s parentpreneurs know where to find me and my business. It is certainly an effective tool.
9: What advice would you give to other businesses and entrepreneurs who want to use social media as a way to connect with customers?
This is the way of the world and if your desire is to become an impact to the world, then social media is the way to go. You will find all types of customers, businesses, and great business relationships.
