Videos are 1200% more likely to be shared than text and image content combined, so if you want to boost your engagement and get more shares, you better start filming. Did I just make up that stat, sure did – but you know what I mean.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “But, Mandi, I’m not a Spielberg, how can I create awesome video content?” Fear not, my friend!

Here are a few tips to get you started:

Nobody’s got time for a five-minute video, so aim for a minute or less. Think of it like a shot of espresso, it’s short, but it packs a punch.

Most people scroll through social media on their phones, so make sure your videos are easy to view on a smaller screen. Use subtitles (CC), large fonts, and vertical video formats, so your followers can enjoy your content on the go.

And lastly, make it fun!

Your video content doesn’t have to be all serious and business-like. Get creative, make a funny skit, or show off your dance moves. Trust me, people love seeing the lighter side of life, and it’ll help you stand out from the crowd.
