A Little Bit About Being an Entrepreneur
1: How long have you been in business?
Since January 2021.
2: What made you decide to break away from the 9-5 and start your business?
Pandemic life. I needed a step away from full time stay at home mom duties and wanted to give back to community so I started a one time fundraiser for CHEO and never looked back.
3: What do you love most about being an entrepreneur?
I love connecting with other purpose driven humans who want to run impactful fundraising campaigns together!
4: What is the hardest thing you have had to overcome as an entrepreneur? Something you did not foresee when you decided to start your business?
I have had to turn away very lucrative business transactions due to my morals, values and strong beliefs. Not the hardest thing perhaps but I did not foresee it!
5: What is one thing about working in your industry that people would be surprised to learn?
Pizza industry is VERY MALE dominated and there’s a lot of corporate greed!

6: Do you have a favourite social media platform? Why?
7: What made you decide to start using social media as a way to promote your company?
I wanted the community vibe and was impressed by other local Ottawa female led shops!
8: How has social media impacted your business? Would you say that it’s an effective marketing tool?
Yes, it’s been everything to my business. Learning to set up key content planning strategies has helped immensely!
9: What advice would you give to other businesses and entrepreneurs who want to use social media as a way to connect with customers?
If you enjoy it, learn it and use it optimally. If you don’t enjoy it- outsource it because you’re people are probably here!
