Hi Everyone,
In case you have not been reading previous blogs – I am Nikita Jadhav, and I recently completed my 6 weeks internship at Like A Voss Inc.
It was an incredible experience, and I wanted to share my journey with you all.
When I first started, I was new to so many things, and I was nervous about fitting in and understanding the Canadian culture and work experience. However, I was fortunate enough to work with an amazing team that made me feel welcome from the very beginning. They were patient, supportive, and always willing to help me whenever I needed it.
During my internship, I had the opportunity to work on various aspects of social media marketing, content creation, graphic design, content writing, creating email newsletters campaigns for LAV and clients, working on market research and competitor analysis, and so much more!
I learned a lot about each of these areas and how they work together.
One of the most significant things that I took away from this internship is how much I have improved from the day I started. When I first began, I was unsure about writing, and I lacked confidence in my abilities. However, with the guidance and mentorship from my team, I am now more confident in my writing skills and don’t feel dreadful when I am asked to write something.
As I reflect on my internship, I will miss the photoshoot day, the random chats that we had as a team in Slack, and seeing my amazing co-workers in our virtual meeting. I will miss the experience of having worked in an agency that has good values – time, opinions and feelings, and most importantly, your mental health.
As for what’s next for me, I am excited to share that I will be taking another course at St. Lawrence College, where I will be studying Project Management starting in May 2023.
I am also planning on dedicating some time this year to further improving my social media skills. This internship at LAV has taught me so much about social media marketing, and I am eager to keep learning and growing in this area. I believe that having strong social media skills will be a valuable asset to me as I pursue my career goals.
In addition, I am looking forward to exploring more of Canada this year. I am hoping to travel to some new places and experience the beauty and diversity of this country. Canada has so much to offer, and I want to take advantage of every opportunity to explore and learn more about this wonderful place that I now call home.
So, all in all, I have a lot to look forward to in the coming months. I am excited to continue growing and learning, both personally and professionally. And, of course, I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of summer and the chance to enjoy all that it has to offer, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
