During such a tough time, people want to lean on each other to get through it, but that’s pretty hard when we have to maintain social distance. That’s why it’s especially important now—not that it wasn’t before—to connect with your audience over social media.

Here are some of the best ways to connect with your audience.

Go Live!

Instagram Live is one of the best ways to directly connect with your followers. People want to see your face. When people are stuck at home only seeing people through social media it’s hard to not feel disconnected to people when all their content is filtered and thought out. People want to see the real, genuine you.

Create posts that make it easy for your audience to get involved. Engaging posts like a “this-or-that” and fun hashtags like #tbt give your audience something to comment about, especially when they can participate in it too.

Not every post has to be part of a hashtag, but make captions that are engaging. Ask questions and respond to your audience’s answers.
